I have known Garrett Lauer for
many years. He has inspired me to become a more giving person. His work with
Children’s Miracle Network is nothing short of amazing. I have had the privilege
of watching his brand expand to provide funding for quite a few miracles.
During the last two years Garrett has been able to reach out to enough people
to raise $30,000 each year. He is a STAR!
In previous years I have participated
in the Torch Relay 5k. These events bring communities together, and families
share stories of the amazing things Children Miracle Network has done for them
and their children. It is touching. I cry almost every year, with sadness for
those kids suffering, and joy for the wonderful things CMN is able to do for them.

Children Miracle Network provide support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay
for uncompensated care, all to save and improve the lives of as many children
as possible. Many families have financially survived these tough times
due to the donations of the Children’s Miracle Network. The organization has
helped provide a place to stay for many parents trying to stay near the hospital that their child is being treated at.
Giving support to this organization is easy and fulfilling.

ReplyDeleteThis is a Great charity.. You always give your heart and soul to it..We need to spread the word on this charity.
ReplyDeleteThere are many very worthwhile "charities" out there, all doing wonderful things for many people in need. I am always amazed when I see a "go fund me" page created and within 24 hours thousands of dollars are donated. Or when the three day walk rolls around, thousands of people (mostly women) show up, have trained for months, sacrifice their time, maybe their health, to help others. What is that? That is love, compassion and inspiration. We are moved by that to do something...to do more. Food for thought...it is not always in the BIG ways and at BIG events that love happens. It can and does happen every day in small ways. If everyone of us reached out in love and kindness to others every single day, if only in a small way, it would change the world. So, be inspired by some charity, get involved, or create your own and inspire others. God bless you on this journey. "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me'." Matt 25:40.
ReplyDeleteAs our government continues to make us more dependent, I am amazed at the generosity of people, even though it is getting harder and harder to give.. It reminds me of the fact that there is a God and that there is one and that he is ultimately in control.. And that there is finality to the evil in the world.. But the greatest is Love... first by experiencing God (Jesus) love, then by loving on others.. That is the cool thing about charities.. Nobody can give to all, but all can be passionate about one..

ReplyDeleteIt is so interesting and very inspiring! It is wonderful to know that there are people in this world that feel empowered by helping others. It is such a great feeling to be able to help and be a part of such a wonderful project/event. It warms my heart to be able to put a smile on someone's face. Great job!
